Mr El-Sayed is an experienced Consultant with 30 years overall experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

He completed his specialist training in London Deanery and developed special expertise in infertility, assisted conception, laparoscopic and pelvic reconstructive surgery with formal specialist training and accreditation in:
• Subfertility and Assisted Conception
• Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery
• Gynaecological Ultrasound
• Early Pregnancy Complications
• Colposcopy

He performs most hysterectomies laparoscopically or vaginally.

Mr El-Sayed developed the Darent Valley Fertility Unit where he introduced follicle tracking ultrasound for ovulation induction, Antral Follicle Count as a test of fertility potential and HyCoSy for tubal patency. He does 3D ultrasound for congenital uterine abnormalities and fibroids. He is an Honorary Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Assisted Conception Unit, London where he is involved in the different assisted reproductive techniques as IVF and ICSI.

He performs hydrosonography for women with menstrual disturbances in a one-stop approach.

He is the lead for Medical Education at his unit where he leads an active teaching programme for doctors and medical students. He runs workshops for doctors and midwives in perineal suturing, pelvic ultrasound and laparoscopy.
